Overview
IntelliKid Systems is retiring the older version of the web form embed code (V3). After May 1st, 2026, any website still using the old code will have a broken web form, meaning families visiting your site will not be able to complete online enrollment.
This article walks you through how to locate your updated embed code inside the IKS portal and replace the old code on your website. The process is quick and no technical background is required. If someone else manages your website, you can forward this article directly to them.
Important: If you have more than one IKS web form embedded on your website, for example a Schedule a Tour form and a Contact Us form on separate pages, each one will need to be checked and updated individually. Please review all pages of your website where an IKS web form appears before considering this update complete.

Before You Begin
You will need the following before getting started:
Access to your IKS portal (to copy the updated embed code)
Access to the backend of your website, or the contact information for whoever manages your website
If you are not sure who manages your website, this is a good time to reach out to them and share this article so they can complete the update on your behalf.
Step 1: Log Into Your IKS Portal
Go to your IKS portal and log in with your credentials. If you have trouble logging in, reach out to our support team through the chat messenger in the portal.
Step 2: Navigate to Web Forms
Using the Settings menu in the main navigation, select Web Forms under the Marketing Automation section.
Step 3: Identify the Form You Need to Update
Look through your list of forms and identify which ones are currently embedded on your website. These are the ones that need to be updated. If you are not sure which forms are in use on your site, check with whoever manages your website.
Step 4: Duplicate the Form
Before making any changes, you need to create a duplicate of the form. This preserves the original in case it has been used elsewhere, such as sent as a one-off link to leads.
Locate the form you identified in Step 3
Click the Duplicate button
A copy of the form will be created with the same alias, meaning it serves the same purpose as the original
IntelliTip: Why duplicate instead of edit? Keeping the original form intact ensures that any existing links or uses of that form are not disrupted. The duplicated form has the same alias so it works seamlessly as a replacement for embedding on your website.
Step 5: Update the Duplicated Form to Embedded Type and Confirm It Is Active
Now open the duplicated form and update the form type, and confirm it is set to active.
Click the Details button on the duplicated form
While in Edit mode, confirm the form status is set to Active. If it is not, update it to Active now
Under the Web Form Conditions section, use the drop down menu for Type to select Embedded.
Be sure to select the Save button to complete the update.
Why does this matter? Embedding a Landing Page version of the form on your website will cause the form to not display at all. Switching to Embedded ensures the form works correctly once the new code is in place. The form must also be Active for it to appear and function on your website.
Step 6: Copy Your Updated Embed Code
Confirm that your duplicated form has been updated to Embedded,
Now, you can copy the updated embed code snippet. By selecting the “Copy Embed Code” icon.
Tip: Make sure you copy the entire code snippet including the opening and closing tags. You can use the button, or highlight all of the text and copy it manually.
Step 7: Find the Old Embed Code on Your Website
Open the backend editor of your website. The exact steps for this will vary depending on which platform your website is built on, but in most cases you will be looking for every page on your site where an IKS web form is currently displayed.
Check all pages. Many schools have IKS web forms embedded on more than one page, such as a Schedule a Tour page, a Contact Us page, or an Enrollment page. Each of these will need to be updated individually. Work through every page where a form appears before moving on.
Once you have found a page with an IKS web form, open the page editor and look for the existing embed code. It will typically appear inside an HTML block, a custom code section, or an embed widget. You are looking for a block of code that references IKS or your web form.
Not sure where to look? Search for the word "embed" or "IKS" within your website editor to help locate it. If you are still unable to find it, forward this article to your web developer along with a note that all IKS web form embed codes across the website need to be updated before May 1st, 2026.
Step 8: Replace the Old Code With the Updated Code
Once you have located the old embed code on your website:
Select and delete the entire existing embed code
Paste in the new embed code you copied from your IKS portal in Step 3
Save your changes
Important: Make sure the old code is fully removed before pasting the new one. Leaving both in place may cause the form to display incorrectly.
Step 9: Test Your Web Form
After saving your changes, visit your website as a visitor would and confirm that the web form is loading and displaying correctly. Try completing the first step of the form to make sure it is functioning as expected.
If the form is not displaying correctly after the update, do not hesitate to reach out to our support team.
Remember: If you have multiple web forms across different pages on your website, repeat Steps 4 through 6 for each one before considering the update complete.
