Starting Your Course
Once you have found a course you are ready to take from your Learn tab or the Browse Library, select it and click Start to open it. The course content will load right on your screen and you are ready to go!
Once you've started the course, the content will load right on your screen. Here's a quick guide to help you find your way around!
The Course Sidebar
Before you jump in, you will notice that each course begins with a brief navigation guide to help you get oriented. This will walk you through how to move through the content, so you will always know exactly what to do from the moment you start.
On the left side of your screen, you will find a menu listing all the lessons within the course. This gives you a quick look at what is covered and where you are in the content. As you work through each lesson, a checkmark will appear next to it once it has been completed so you always know exactly where you left off.
At the top of the sidebar, you will also see your overall completion percentage updating in real time as you move through the course. This is your at-a-glance progress tracker so you can always see how close you are to finishing.
Moving Through the Content
Use the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen to move forward through the content. A couple of important things to keep in mind as you go:
Always scroll down to the bottom of each lesson before moving on. This ensures all of the content on the page has been fully viewed and allows the system to register your progress correctly. Moving through too quickly or not scrolling through the full lesson may result in it not being marked complete.
Some lessons may include a short knowledge check. Just work through it and keep going!
Some courses require you to view all content before moving forward. Follow the prompts on screen and you will be all set.
Completing the Course
When you reach the end of the course, you will see a completion screen and the course will be marked complete in your learning record automatically. All checkmarks in the sidebar will be filled in and your completion percentage will show 100%. For individual courses, you’ll also see an opportunity to Download Your Certificate, though you’ll have the option to do so from your Completion section on your Learn dashboard as well.
Returning to Your Learn Tab
When you are ready to head back, simply select the X in the top right corner of the course and you will be taken right back to your Learn tab and everything in your learning record.
